MagicianAct on Education with OCPA!

In 2010 OCPA presents the tenth stimulating season of our flagship Magic of Theatre summer camps, offering kids and teens a fun-filled, educational, and enlightening theatre experience. In a classroom atmosphere, students ages six to 19 discover the process of theatre, culminating in a staged production after just a few weeks of rehearsal and training. More than 1,600 kids have participated in our program, which helps them develop and expand their skills in acting, voice, dance, and other aspects of the theatre.
All students who sign up for our camps are cast in the show.

OCPA comprises talented professionals with a dedication to kids and the arts, and we love what we do -- and that’s what makes theatre camp such a meaningful experience for our students, many of whom return year after year. They make new friends, bond with kids from other walks of life, and grow creatively in a safe and supportive environment.

Last summer we had three awesome weekday camps. Check out our Gallery for photos of our past camps and shows.

What's up for 2010?

Spring Break Performing Arts Camp
Spend your spring break with OCPA! We are offering a fun-filled week of dance and theatre camp for ages 6 to 12, Monday through Friday, March 22 to 26, 2010. Scholarships are available, and registration is under way. Questions? Please e-mail us.

Magic of Theatre Summer Camp
We have four fantastic offerings this year: Our revived Shakespeare camp is now a Classical Theatre camp and directed by Oregon Shakespeare Festival's Tyrone Wilson. This summer we are offering two young kids camps directed by Andrew Brock, with musical direction by Marcia Katzmar. Our last camp of the summer will be returning OCPA to its mission, educating students through theatre. This camps promises to be challenging and fun. It's also an opportunity for participants to learn from professionals and hone their performance skills in musical theatre, acting, singing, and dance. You won't find this type of camp anywhere in the Rogue Valley.

Please note that our camps fill up quickly. The Registration Form, Scholarship Application, and Sponsorship Form can all be downloaded from this site. You can also call 776-9118 or e-mail us.

Thank you, Rogue Valley, for your support!
