Here’s What Parents
Are Saying About OCPA
Thanks for making
Carla feel at home. She was very sad to leave her new friends in
Oregon. She told us several times that this had been the best summer
she can remember.
—Michael Niemann
Stan is absolutely
loving being in The Tempest. I admit I was hesitant
that he would begin and then fuss about the practices or the work that
would be involved. Quite the opposite! In fact, he wants to get there
early and truly enjoys being part of the cast. He now has a strong
desire to continue his theatrical learning. No wallflower here! I
attribute his being so comfortable on stage to all the hard work you
guys have done over the past four weeks. It shows. Thank you!
—Lynette Mamer
My daughter, Hannah, is just loving camp! She has never participated in
a theater camp before and yet is enjoying every part about it. She (as
well as I) thinks it’s terrific that she’s being “trained” in classes
about acting, dancing, and singing; that it’s not just about the final
performance. She’ll be able to take this knowledge and experience with
her to do not only other theater-related events, but enhance public
speaking and other public-oriented situations throughout her life.
Everyone who is a part of this camp is doing a marvelous job. Thank you
for focusing on every little detail, making this one of the best
activities my daughter has been involved with!
—Jennifer Schneider, Medford
You have shown our daughter
that anything is possible. Even though she had experience in drama
before, nothing she did compared to what she had to face when she
performed on-stage with OCPA. You have done remarkable things with our
daughter and for that we are especially grateful.
—Michelle Irwin, Butte Falls
“I was overwhelmed and
thrilled with the impact on Bryson of being a part of the
Conservatory’s theater experience last summer. The process was
exceptionally supportive and encouraging from the first enrollment
encounter. It’s no surprise that his overall performance in school this
year has been improving as has his outlook on life. I wonder if those
of you who do the work there can possibly comprehend how meaningful
your contribution is to the lives of some of the kids you encounter?
It’s immeasurable! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!”
—Max Martinie, Proud Grandmother of Bryson Mills,
Ashland
“Christian enjoyed himself
very much and was excited to attend every day! A great experience that
we will highly recommend to others!”
—Victoria
Grensky, Jacksonville
“I wanted to let you know
how much we appreciated that you allowed Rock Band 101 to be offered
this past winter session, even though the numbers were below what you
needed for it to be financially viable. My son had been looking forward
to that class for months. Once it actually began, all he could think
about each week was going to his Thursday rock class. The instructor
did a phenomenal job with the kids—he was professional, knowledgeable,
and has an excellent teaching style for aspiring musicians. You looked
beyond just the numbers in making your decision, and we wanted to let
you know it really made a difference for our son.”
—Guy Tutland,
Medford
“Madelyn had a wonderful
time. The camp has boosted her self-confidence, and her part was the
perfect amount of work for her first play. I would definitely sign up
again. Thank you for your time and dedication.”
—Theodora Scott,
Jacksonville
“I would just like to take
a moment and thank you all for the tremendous amount of work you put in
with the kids. Our daughter Kacie is not only learning new skills but
having a great time as well. As a parent, it is nice to know that your
child is in a safe, nurturing and fun environment.”
—Becky Bianco,
Ashland
“I think you guys are all
doing a great job! Gaby is really enjoying her experience. Keep up the
great work!”
—Teri Linquist,
Medford
“Every child is a success
at OCPA! The talented instructors and wonderful scripts make a great
combination. Little Red Riding Hood and Peter Rabbit’s little sister
lived at our house last summer. My daughters were so inspired by OCPA
they kept the magic going at home!”
—Michelle Zundel,
Ashland
“We have tried several
programs—Little League, Hope Equestrian—with little success. I just
wanted to let you know how pleased we were with our daughter’s
experience with your summer camp. What an accomplishment—truly the
“Magic of Theatre” at work!”
—Tom & JoAnn
Hoeber, Gold Hill
“Thanks so much to you and
your staff for the wonderful “Magic of Theatre” camp. My children had a
wonderful time, learned a lot, and are ready to sign up for next year’s
camp now! We thoroughly enjoyed the production.”
—Robynne Whitaker, Ashland
“We are so impressed by the
fine quality acting camp you all have put together. Terrific staff,
great script and fun atmosphere. Jonathan was happy and singing on the
way home. Whatever you are doing, you’re certainly doing it right!”
─Lisa
Coleman, Medford
“I want the staff to know
what awesome partners in my daughter’s education you all are! Highest
quality compared to her experience with various “little theater” youth
training camps and youth productions.”
─Jeanne
Bear, Vancouver, Washington
